Designed in New York & brought to the UK & Europe market in 2008 each season the collections have grown stronger & stronger.

The jewellery is made with 100% nickel hypo-allergenic metals primarily brass and zinc, plated in copper, then gold or 925 silver. The spring/summer collection for 2012 brings a spiritual & earthy feel. Many materials, colours & textures are used to make this jewellery a must have for this season!

Research shows that in the UK Mother’s Day is the second biggest gift buying event to Christmas. This just proves that when it comes to our Mums we want to show our love and appreciation on this day with a beautiful Mother’s day gift.

There are two origins for Mother’s day in the UK; a 16th century Christian tradition where people would return to their Mother church on the fourth Sunday of Lent & therefore be reunited with their Mothers, this was known as Mothering Sunday. An attempt to revive this tradition in the early 20th century was bolstered by the American presence in the UK after World War II as a “Mother’s Day” holiday had been created about 30 years before & made official in America in 1914.

It’s nice to give gifts to loved ones at any time of year but I guess sometimes we need reminding…this year Mother’s day is on Sunday 18th march…don’t forget to buy your Mum a special gift.

Christmas Celebrations & Shopping Evening at Paprika

A warm welcome awaited friends of Home, Gift & Jewellery Emporium Paprika on a very wintry evening at the beginning of December last year to celebrate the start of the festive season with a special Christmas shopping evening.

Guests & friends of Paprika including local traders, council members and suppliers were treated to a glass or two of bubbly & mince pies while they listened to festive world music & perused the fantastic range of gifts on offer.

Paprika owner Slyder said, “It is always great to catch up with everyone involved with Paprika at Christmas time & thank them for their help & support throughout the year with this event.”
